I took the redeye from Los Angeles last night in order to be at the studio for the 6am rehearsal of “The Shadow Woman.” Julia Murney was simply magnificent singing from her own poignant experience of being a childless woman herself. I had no idea until she told me after the show that she, too, mentors a child. It broke my heart as she described how loving this child has changed her life. She’s just released a gorgeous CD called Julia Murney I’m Not Waiting (visit www.sh-k-boom.com and www.juliamurney.com) and I can’t wait to put it in my CD player and get lost in it this afternoon.

I continue to be in awe of the incredible talent that these amazing Broadway performers have and share so effortlessly with us.
