Michie's Sweet-n-Sour Chicken
4-5 chicken breasts
6 thighs
6 drumsticks/legs
1 8 oz. bottle Russian dressing
1 8 oz. jar Apricot Preserves
1 envelope Onion soup mix
Skin chicken if desired.
It can be any chicken parts you want. My family personally likes all different parts of the chicken so I use the 4 breasts, 6 thighs, and 6 drumsticks. You could use just breasts if that's what you desire. I will say this though, it is best to use boneless chicken breasts. There is no wrong way to do this recipe.
Place in oblong baking dish. In a bowl, mix the
Russian dressing/Preserves/Onion soup mix. Pour over chicken. Add 2-3 tbls.
water. Cover with foil. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Uncover and bake an
additional 1/2 hour.
Serving suggestions: Serve the sauce from the chicken over wild rice. You
can also add pineapple/green pepper the last 1/2 hour. This recipe is "To
